Alaba: Bayern always in my heart, I did not want to offend anyone

He spent 13 years of his career at Bayern Munich between the age group and the first team, and David Alaba, although he kissed the Real Madrid shirt since his first presentation after the transfer to Los Blancos, could not hide his nostalgia for the Bavarian club.

In an interview with German media, the Austrian defender explained his action while stating that he feels a special love for Bayern Munich and can never compare the German champions with the merengue team.

“Just because I kissed the Real Madrid jersey does not mean I do not love Bayern. It was just a very special day for me. It was the beginning of a new chapter, but I did not want to provoke Bayern fans. I spent 13 wonderful years there. I will always be grateful to the fans and to the club that gave me the opportunity to develop as a person and a player. I did not want to hurt anyone. Real Madrid can not be compared to Bayern Munich. Munich was my second home and I will always keep it in my heart,” said Alaba.

David Alaba has become a permanent starter at Carlo Ancelotti’s Real as he has been active in 6 matches at the beginning of this season without still managing to find the net. He transferred to Los Blancos with zero parameters during this summer as he signed a 5-year contract with Madrid.
