Another player leaves Bayern Munich for free

David Alaba, Jerome Boateng, Javi Martinez. And now, Niklas Süle. The fourth free departure from Bayern Munich in a very short time is practically a reality. The former Hoffenheim player, whose contract expires at the end of the season, will also leave Munich without renewal.

Negotiations for a possible extension of Süle’s contract had stalled. And now, as learned from “Bild”, the decision has been made: the player has refused a significant salary increase and, from July 1, if there is no reversal in the coming weeks, he will be able to choose his next team independently.

“We made an offer to Niklas. “Now it’s up to him to accept it or not,” said Herbert Hainer, Bayern’s president on Sunday. Obviously, he will have to respond within a certain period of time, because then we will have to position ourselves accordingly.”

Süle’s will, as mentioned, however, is to end his adventure at Bayern at the end of a 4-year period in which he has won everything: the Champions League, the Bundesliga, the German Cup, the German Super Cup, the Super Cup of Europe, the Club World Cup.

His future could now be in the Premier League, a not-so-hidden desire. Newcastle is on his trail. Barcelona is also in the footsteps of the German, although the first choice remains (Chelsea).
