Frankfurt causes Bayern Munich’s first defeat

Eintracht Frankfurt defeated Bayern Munich 2: 1, causing the first defeat of the season to the German champion and enjoying the first victory in the Bundesliga this season, at the same time.

Bayern took the lead when Leon Goretzka scored for 1: 0 in the 29th minute, but failed to save it.

Martin Hinteregger equalized 1: 1 for Frankfurt in the 32nd minute, interrupting the Bavarians in the middle of the party.

Filip Kostic scored to turn the score around and give the visiting team the lead in the 83rd minute.

This was Frankfurt’s first victory this season in the Bundesliga and came exactly against the reigning champions.

Oliver Glasner’s team had drawn in the previous five games and had suffered a defeat.

Despite the defeat, first in all competitions, Julian Nagelsmann’s Bayern remains the leader with 16 points after seven weeks.

Frankfurt has only eight points in 13th place.
