Eden Hazard has issued a heartfelt apology to Real Madrid fans after he was criticized for laughing and hugging Chelsea players after eliminating his team from the Champions League semi-final.

The Belgian striker was met with great reactions from the Spanish media after the elimination of Real Madrid from Chelsea.

Hazard, was caught by the cameras laughing and hugging the Chelsea players after the referee’s final whistle.

Now, the Belgian representative has broken his silence on social networks to apologize to the fans of the royal club.

Posting a ‘story’ on his’s 27 million Instagram profile, Hazard insisted it was not his intention to offend Real Madrid fans.

“Excuse me. I read a lot of opinions about me today and it was not my intention to offend Real Madrid fans.”
