After a disappointing transfer window for Tottenham, Harry Kane is seeking assurances from the club that coach Antonio Conte will be financially supported so that he can continue with the club.
Kane made clear his desire to leave Tottenham last summer, but was blocked from transferring to Manchester City by the club’s owners.
The Sun reports that the Englishman is now open to continue at Tottenham, but not without the guarantee that Conte will be given the opportunity to transfer the players needed for the club to compete for titles.
The transfer fund has been a long-standing problem and Kane fears he could lose a world-class coach if he is not financially supported.
“What happened in January is not easy. Four players left. Four important players for Tottenham, two came. Even numerically instead of getting stronger, we are weakening. If you want to grow fast and be competitive, you need players with a lot of experience,” Conte told Sky Italia.
If Kane does not get the required security, he will seek to leave Tottenham again in the summer.
