Leo Messi wins the award for the best from ‘Goal’, equals Ronaldo

Lionel Messi has been chosen as the best footballer in the world by the editors and correspondents of the great sports portal, ‘Goal.com’.

Lionel Messi equaled Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of five ‘Goal 50’ awards after being named the world’s best player for 2021, with his big rival finishing in second place.

Robert Lewandowski finished third, Liverpool’s Egyptian sensation Mohamed Salah finished fourth, Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe closes the top five.

Leo had a good season, though not one of the best.

He won the King’s Cup with Barcelona and won for the first time in his career a trophy he missed so much with Argentina, the America’s Cup.

Among the top 10 are sixth Erling Haaland, Karim Benzema (7), N’Golo Kante, (8) Kevin De Bruyne (9) and Neymar (10).
