Pep Guardiola makes another statement on the future of Lionel Messi

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said that Lionel Messi should stay in Barcelona and end his career at the club.

The Argentine’s contract expires at the end of the current season and speculation has been high about his career since he stated he wanted to leave Barcelona in the summer of 2020.

Guardiola’s Manchester City and French giants PSG, who faced each other in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final last night, have been widely linked as favorites to sign Messi.

City coach Guardiola has spoken about this issue, who in the past worked with Messi at Barcelona, ??winning every possible trophy.

“I hope he can finish his career at Barca. Messi will not find a better home than in Barca,” Guardiola initially said.

“The only thing that needs to be done is to go back to the origin of what makes the club special,” the Catalan coach concluded.

Messi’s contract with the Spanish club expires after two months and there is no indication of what the Golden Ball winner plans to do from next season.
