Paul Pogba has welcomed the return of Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United and has said he looks forward to working with, as he called it, the best.
In one of the biggest transfers in Premier League history, the 36-year-old striker returned to where he made a name for himself.
Ronaldo rejoined Manchester United from Juventus for 23 million euros on Friday. The Portuguese superstar signed a two-year contract with the Red Devils, with the possibility of extension for another year.
The 36-year-old is expected to make his second United debut on Saturday against Newcastle and Pogba expects his presence to raise the collective standard at Old Trafford.
“It is always a pleasure to play with the best. It is a plus for players to be able to train with a great player. He will increase the level of the team.” Pogba told Telefoot.
The 36-year-old spent six years at Old Trafford from 2003 to 2009, scoring 118 goals in 292 games.
