Ronaldo warns PSG: I was at Real Madrid and did not win the Champions League

Former Real Madrid striker Ronaldo Nazario does not think Paris Saint-Germain will win the Champions League this edition, despite a scary market.

He took his time at Real Madrid as an example as a fact that a strong team on paper does not necessarily translate into winning big trophies.

“It is too early to say who will win the Champions League. PSG is in pole position, but it is something else to talk about and something else to play. There are many factors that affect the field. I played with Real Madrid for almost five seasons, on the Galaxy team and I never won the Champions League. Winning is not automatic, even though you have the best players in the team,” said Ronaldo.

Asked if he sees similarities between him and Kylian Mbappe, Ronaldo was clear.

“Yes, he bears a resemblance to me. It has extraordinary qualities, with amazing technique and great speed. He passes the defenders, he passes the goalkeepers. I like Mbappe,” he said.
