Ronaldo with number 7 in Manchester United

The former Juventus and Real Madrid striker has received his favored number with Edinson Cavani receiving the number 21

Manchester United has indicated that Cristiano Ronaldo will have his desired number, 7 for the 2021/22 season in the Premier League.

Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford after a few years marking an incredibly interesting transfer deadline this summer.

The club has now unveiled the new jersey where he inherited the number of Edinson Cavani, who now has the number 21, while he is expected to debut for the second time with the “Red Devils” this month.

“Manchester United can confirm that Cristiano Ronaldo will wear the iconic number 7 on his shirt after returning to Old Trafford,” said a statement on the club’s official website.

“The Portuguese superstar wore this shirt during his first stay at United and now we can confirm that he will wear it again.”

“In his first six seasons at the club, from 2003 to 2009, where he scored 118 goals in 292 appearances, winning nine trophies including three Premier Leagues and a Champions League.”
