Tottenham are exploring options for renewing Kane’s contract

The future of Spurs striker Harry Kane is in the air

Harry Kane shone for Tottenham in their 3-2 win over Manchester City on Saturday, showing why the Premier League champions were desperately looking for the England captain.

City were close to signing Kane in the summer of 2021, but Tottenham boss Daniel Levy turned down a bid from the Premier League champions.

Kane did not appear in several pre-season training sessions and did not play in the first two games of the season.

After a difficult start to the season for Kane, where he had scored just two goals before Christmas, questions had been raised as to whether the 28-year-old wanted to play and that he was no longer in top form. But he now looks much happier after scoring two goals against City, a starting point that will revive him this season.

Will Tottenham offer Kane a new contract?

Kane’s current contract keeps him at Spurs until 2024, but he could still aim to leave the club in the summer.

Spurs should best try to keep Kane by offering him a good contract that would stabilize both parties and thus end speculation about Kane’s future.
