Germany coach Joachim Low has remained partially satisfied with the game of his players, despite losing to France in Group F at Euro 2020.
Germany was defeated 1-0 in their first match in the Group, and this came thanks to an own goal by Mats Hummels (20′).
However, despite the loss, Germany coach Low has remained partially satisfied with the performance and commitment of the players.
“It was a brutal and intense game. I can not blame the effort of the players. They gave everything,” Low said initially after the match.
“We were just missing the penetration in the third part of the field and we did not use our opportunities enough.”
“There were predictions of the match when we could have increased the pressure on them, but we did not create any clear chance.”
“The performance was fine today, but we also saw where we needed to improve if we wanted to beat such teams, or put them in trouble.”
“We still have to make some adjustments,” concluded the German coach.
