Hungary coach Marco Rossi has accused Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo of annoying celebrations, although he initially described him as a ‘great champion’.
The five-time Golden Ball winner has often found the net in group matches at Euro 2020, seeing him become the all-time leading national scorer of all time.
Two of those goals came in a 3-0 win over Hungary and coach Rossi was disappointed when he saw the 36-year-old celebrating like crazy the goal scored from the penalty spot.
According to Rossi, Ronaldo’s party was annoying and as if he had just secured the European Championship trophy for his country.
“Ronaldo is a great champion, but sometimes he can be annoying,” Rossi told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“After the penalty with us, he celebrated as if he had scored in the final. People notice these things,” concluded the Italian coach.
