Austrian star David Alaba has warned Italy before the match of the quarter final in Euro 2020.
The captain, who transferred from Bayern Munich to Real Madrid as a free agent after the end of the 2020/21 season spoke to Sky Sport Italia about the upcoming match at Wembley on Saturday.
“For me, the match against Italy is very important, it will be a special game for all of Italy and for all of Austria.” said Alaba.
“Our strength lies in the collectivity. Sure, we have some players of excellent quality, but our strength is to know how to bring team spirit to the field. We have to keep dreaming a lot, let’s go to London to keep this dream going. It will not be easy against Italy, we have seen the football expressed by Roberto Mancini’s team in recent months. But in football, anything is possible. ”
Alaba hopes to stop Lazio striker Ciro Immobile when the two teams clash in the English capital.
“Immobile is a real striker. He is dangerous and cold in the goal area. He knows how to decide the matches and score even from the smallest possibility” – said Alaba.
Austria faces Italy on Saturday starting at 21:00 at “Wembley” in London, and the winner of this meeting will face in the quarterfinals the winner of the duel Belgium – Portugal.
