Germany’s outgoing coach, Joachim Low, has admitted that his national team 2-0 defeat against England in the final of Euro 2020 was extremely disappointing, as, as he said, his boys failed to use the opportunities.

Two late goals from Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane on Tuesday at Wembley took England to the quarter-finals and ended Low’s 15-year era at the helm of the German national team.

The Germans have themselves to blame for their failure, as Thomas Muller failed to score the only goal in front of goalkeeper Jordan Pickford nine minutes before the end of the match, hitting the ball outside the gate when England were winning 1-0.

Low admitted that England were simply a better team than his Germany.
