The European Championship ‘Euro 2020’ has entered the hot phase, as there are already only eight national teams left, which are fighting for the big trophy and the quarterfinal matches start tomorrow (Friday).
Eight nationals are fighting for the big Euro 2020 trophy, but some of them could be penalized if certain of their players can be punished with a yellow card.
All national teams have players with a yellow card and a second card in the quarterfinals can make it impossible for them to play in the semifinals.
UEFA rules are clear: after two penalties in two different matches, disqualification for a match in the European Championship is automatic.
However, if a player who has a yellow card escapes unpunished in the quarterfinals, then in the semifinals his card is removed and the risk of missing the final is very small, only if he is penalized directly with a red card.
