Following Wednesday’s play-off matches, the 32 teams that will take part in the 2021/22 edition of the Champions League have been completed.
The draw of the group stage in the Champions League will be made today at 18:00 in Istanbul, Turkey.
The group stage draw is one of the most interesting events in European football, as fans from all over the continent understand which teams their heart team will face.
Which 32 teams are in the group stage draw?
There are 32 fantastic teams that will fight for the precious European trophy and they will initially be divided into eight groups of four teams, based on their ranking. Teams from the same country are not allowed in the same group.
The four lottery vases are as follows:
Vase 1: Chelsea, Villarreal, Atletico Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Inter, Lille and Sporting CP
Vase 2: Real Madrid, Barcelona, ??Juventus, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund
Vase 3: Porto, Ajax, Shakhtar Donetsk, RB Leipzig, RB Salzburg, Benfica, Atalanta and Zenit Saint Petersburg
Vase 4: Besiktas, Dynamo Kyiv, Club Brugge, Young Boys, AC Milan, Malmo, Wolfsburg and Sheriff Tiraspol.
When will the group stage matches take place?
As always, each team will play six matches and they will be played on midweek, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
They will take place on 14/15 September and 28/29 September, 19/20 October, 2/3 November and 23/24 November, as well as on 7/8 December.
