Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has said he felt they were always in control during their victory over Chelsea in the Champions League.
Real lead to the quarter-finals with the overall score 3-1 thanks to a hat-trick by Karim Benzema on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge.
This victory of Los Blancos in the trip makes Real the favorite to reach the semifinals and coach Ancelotti feels happy with the performance of his team.
“We had good control of the game, we were dangerous in the counterattack. “It was a good night, but it is only the first match and we have to look ahead,” said Ancelotti initially after the match.
“We showed good organization, Benzema was fantastic. We found space between the lines. We have an advantage, but Tuesday will be another match – they are the winners of the Champions League.”
“Honestly, we had a good organization in defense and dangerous counterattacks.”
“I think it helped us that our game built from behind was good, we found space between the rows. “And then with Benzema and Vinicius we were dangerous,” concluded the Italian coach.
