After Dani Alves, another footballer is expected to return to Barcelona

Barcelona’s board continues to work on strengthening the team during the winter transfer window.

This Friday, the Catalans announced the return of Dani Alves, who can not be registered until January. But the Brazilian may not be the only returnee at Camp Nou.

As reported by journalist Pedro Almeida, Xavi Hernandez wants Thiago Alcantara again in Barcelona and the Liverpool midfielder is open for this option.

Thiago’s second year at Liverpool is being described with physical problems. A muscle injury has limited him to just 247 minutes of play in seven games in all competitions.

In his first season at Anfield, the midfielder made 30 appearances and scored one goal.

Thiago was part of Barcelona until 2013, when he left for Bayern Munich.
