Trent Alexander-Arnold has picked up an injury in the match against Austria, which could leave him out of Euro 2020.
Alexander-Arnold was selected from the list of 26 players selected by Gary Southgate, but the winger is expected to miss out due to an injury.
Activated from the first minute in last night’s friendly match against Austria, the Liverpool right-back left the field prematurely due to an injury, while coach Southgate admitted that the situation is not at all optimistic.
“Alexander-Arnold left the field amidst the pain and the situation is not at all optimistic.”
“He will undergo all the medical examinations and we will make a decision within the next 48 hours.”
“We very much hope it will be something easy and quick to recover,” said Southgate.
Alexander-Arnold is one of Southgate’s four right-wingers assembled for the European Championship.
Southgate was in no hurry to name the one who could replace the defender if he fails to recover.
