Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino has said that Kylian Mbappe is open to extending his contract with the club, but has not ruled out the possibility of him leaving Paris, saying anything is possible.
Mbappe’s contract with PSG expires in the summer and he will be a free agent after the end of this season unless he signs a new contract with the club.
The France international admitted weeks ago that he had asked to leave Paris last summer, but the club refused to sell him, rejecting Real Madrid’s fat offers.
Finally, sporting director Leonardo and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said Mbappe will stay and that talks on a new deal are going well.
But coach Pochettino also leaves open the possibility of his departure.
“Mbappe is fine. He is a calm guy with a lot of personality and extremely sociable. Kylian will make the decision he needs to make and the club will do everything possible to keep him,” Pochettino told Radio MARCA.
“The situation is open and anything can happen in the future. “PSG as a club certainly has the skills and ambitions to convince him and offer him things so that he can stay and be happy.”
