Thomas Lemar, Antoine Griezmann, Angel Correa and Matheus Cunha scored once at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla, for the second consecutive victory of Diego Simeone’s team.
Goalkeeper Jan Oblak scored in his own goal, giving a consolation goal to the locals.
This victory means that Atletico now rises to second place with 29 points from 14 games, just one less than the leader and rival Real Madrid.
Real Madrid meets Sevilla later tonight.
Cadiz, who has just two wins this season, remains in 17th place with just 12 points, one point away from relegation.
