Barcelona have held initial talks with representatives of Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero over his move to the Camp Nou over the summer.
Aguero, who is the top scorer in the history of Man City with 258 goals in 387 games in all competitions, will leave the Etihad at the end of this season when his contract with the club ends.
The 32-year-old from Argentina played for five years in La Liga as an Atletico Madrid player, before joining City in 2011.
Aguero aims to win the treble in last season with City, as the Manchester Blues advanced to the Champions League final and are on the verge of winning trophies in the Premier League and League Cup.
He has not been much involved this season on Pep Guardiola’s squad, making just 17 appearances, mostly due to injury and illness, and has scored just four goals all season.
It has been rumored that some big European clubs want him, among them and Chelsea if he decides to stay in the Premier League.
Barcelona hopes to convince captain Lionel Messi, Aguero’s compatriot, to stay at the Camp Nou even after this season.
