Barcelona coach’s reaction after the 3-0 loss against Bayern

Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has admitted that Bayern Munich were the top team in their side’s 3-0 defeat in the opening group stage of the Champions League on Tuesday.

Bayern completely overcame Barcelona and easily defeated them 3-0 at the Camp Nou, in the first meeting between them since the embarrassing loss of the Catalans in the quarterfinals of the first two seasons.

After the match, Koeman admitted that the German giant was better on the field but also complained about the shortcomings his team faced.

Sergio Aguero, Ansu Fati and Ousmane Dembele were absent due to injuries.

“I only had three strikers tonight. Tactically, there were moments in which we were in control. I can not complain about the approach of my players, but the difference was in quality,” said Koeman.

“Bayern have a team that has been playing together for a long time and also has an improved reserve bank,” he added.

Barcelona will face Benfica in the second match in Group E in the Champions League.
