The Barcelona administration has sent a letter to Xavi Hernandez asking him not to renew his contract with Al Sadd, Spanish media report.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has decided to fire Ronald Koeman if he fails to win La Liga this season.

Xavi Hernandez is therefore chosen for the Catalan club bench if Koeman does not continue the next edition.

The first contacts have already been made with the Al Sadd coach who is reaping tremendous success with the club.
