Barcelona without three stars in the Champions and El Clasico

Ronald Koeman seems to be getting more and more bad news as Barcelona coach and the latest is a triple kick with Pedri, Ronald Araujo and Ousmane Dembele all left out for both games against Dynamo Kiev and Real Madrid.

It is likely to be a crucial week for the Catalans’ season with their success in the Champions League, but it requires a win against the Ukrainian club, and a loss to Real Madrid in the Clasico will hurt their La Liga aspirations.

Being without a crucial starter like Pedri is quite difficult, but Koeman will also lose the skill of Araujo and Dembele, although the former Everton coach was aware that this was possible during the international break.

He did, however, hope that at least one of them would have been fit to play in the first El Clasico of the season, but this has not been proven.

The club’s medical department does not want to take any chances and risks relapses, especially in the case of Dembele who has been susceptible to injury since arriving in Catalonia.

Araujo has had three muscle injuries since his debut with the senior team and the club is aware of the problems these could create in the long run.

The Uruguayan defender is working only so as not to suffer a recurrence of injury and needs more time to improve his physical condition.
