Emre Demir, who signed for Barcelona with a release clause of 400 million euros, spoke to local media.
Emre, who had difficult periods in his childhood, said:
“I have had indescribable feelings. My dad also dreamed about it. We were together day and night for a year. When the transfer took place, my father was very emotional and cried.”
Emre Demir told the story when he started in the Turkish Super League, which is the highest category of football in Turkey:
“My father left his job in Mersin and came to Kayseri for me. He had a new job with the opportunities offered by the club, Kayserispor. He supported me a lot for my development.” he said of his father’s sacrifices.
“My representative Ahmet Bulut did not inform me about the processes with Barcelona. He called one day and said to me: We are going to Istanbul, you will sign a great team. Due to the age when I sign, my parents had to be there. Then I saw the name of Barcelona in the contract. Mom and Dad could not hold back the tears,” said the new FC Barcelona player.
