The former Blues and England defender thinks the Spurs star will move to the Etihad Stadium for the new season
Wayne Bridge believes Harry Kane will join Manchester City instead of Chelsea if he leaves Tottenham in the summer.
Kane is believed to be leaving the Spurs after 11 years of career in this team, after the last match in 2020-21, while the top clubs in Europe are interested in him.
The 27-year-old’s ambition for trophies seems to be the main motive for him to leave and Bridge thinks City have the opportunity to take him because they are the only ones on the way to securing trophies.
“I would like to see him at Chelsea and Roman Abramovich can buy him, but I have a feeling he will end up going to Manchester City,” the former Chelsea and England winger told bettingexpert.com.
“Pep Guardiola will have a major influence on his decision to join City. “City want and need a striker so I believe he will end up there.”
“Kane and Aguero are a little different but they have one thing in common, they both want to score a lot of goals. “I had the pleasure of playing with Aguero, he is a great scorer and player and Kane has shown that as well, so on that basis, I think he would be a good replacement for him.”
“The players Kane has around him in City – De Bruyne, Mahrez, Foden, Sterling – are like an early Christmas present for him.”
“Manchester City have already won the Premier League, so their players will welcome Kane. “The players they have and the way they play, Kane would be right for them.”
