It seems that Lionel Messi has decided to stay in Barcelona, ??as talks between his father Jorge, his manager and the club, have already started, although not yet officially.
Messi’s contract with Barca expires on June 30 this summer and so far there has been no news that he will continue his stay at Camp Nou.
But there have been many rumors that the 33-year-old will leave this summer because he could do so as a free agent and especially after last summer he insisted on leaving.
Now, according to TV3, Jorge Messi, the player’s father and manager, has met with Barcelona president Joan Laporta to discuss the future of the Argentine striker.
According to Spanish television, Jorge and Laporta have shown signs that the two are in favor of an agreement for Messi to continue to be the only man of a club.
Laporta has not yet made an offer to Messi, as he wants to wait and see the club’s account balance first.
But Messi’s stay at the Camp Nou does not depend on financial conditions as much as on sports conditions.
Messi wants a winning project on the field instead of a high salary.
