The players of the Finnish National Team wore T-shirts with a message that reads “Get well Christian” in honor of Christian Eriksen, during their warm-up before the match against Russia.
The Inter midfielder suffered a cardiac arrest in Denmark’s match against Finland on Saturday and for 15 minutes the doctors barely managed to bring him back to life giving him help and cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the field.
He stabilized after 15 minutes and was taken to hospital where he is undergoing further medical examinations.
The game, which was Finland’s first meeting in the European Championship, was resumed and eventually won 1-0 by Markku Kanerva’s team.
Today, the Finnish players are wearing T-shirts in honor of Eriksen and it says: “Get well Christian”.
Otherwise, Finland faces Russia in St. Petersburg and a victory would allow them to reach the 16th round of Euro 2020.
Eriksen sent a message from his hospital bed yesterday (Tuesday) to say he is fine and to thank everyone ‘for the sweet and amazing messages from all over the world’.
