France wins against Finland, Griezmann shines with two goals

France beat Finland 2-0 tonight to take a big step towards qualifying for Qatar 2022. Griezmann (25, 54) scored both goals for France making the world champions much closer to qualifying for the World Cup now.

France did the job tonight in Lyon beating Finland 2-0.

France started the match better and were more relaxed in their actions until they blocked the Finns in most of the field wards.

The first goal for France would come in the 25th minute and it was a beautiful goal by Griezmann with his left. He was assisted by Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.

The first half would end with this minimal result of the French.

In the second half France were again better than Finland.

But, the protagonist was again the famous French striker Antoine Griezmann.

He would score again, this time assisted by Dubois for the second personal goal in this match in the 54th minute.

France until the end of the match had some chances to score but did not use them properly.

After this victory, France ranks first in Group D with 12 points, 7 more than Ukraine and Finland which have 5 each.

France needs not to make a mistake in the remaining two matches and to qualify further in Qatar 2022. Recall that France has two more matches to play while Finland which has 5 points and four such. If it wins in four matches, they will be able to cause headaches for the French.

Also in the game is Bosnia and Herzegovina, which also has four games to play.
