After a big uproar, Leon Goretzka will renew his contract with Bayern Munich.

The German was linked with a possible move to Real Madrid next summer, but eventually changed their minds.

Talks between the two sides are on track and this has been confirmed by the sports director, Hasan Salihamidzic.

“The talks are going very well. I’m calm. He is a player with special skills in the center of the field,” concludes Salihamidzic.

Recall that the player’s current contract expires in June 2022 and the goal of the Germans is to extend his stay in Munich until 2026.
