Guardiola sets the goal of becoming champions: We need 95 or 96 points in total

Pep Guardiola has set a 96-point target for Manchester City this season.

The Spanish coach believes that this is what is needed to defend the Premier League title against Liverpool.

The Citizens lost 3: 2 to Tottenham on Saturday, as Liverpool won 3-1 at Norwich to move closer to just six points. Also, Jurgen Klopp’s team has a less developed match.

“The margin against Liverpool is nothing. We have to earn a lot, more than 90 points, 95, 96 to be declared champion,” said Guardiola.

Currently, Manchester City’s only serious follower in the Premier League is Liverpool, as Chelsea are 13 points behind, with one game less played.
