Talks between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund over the transfer of Erling Haaland have begun, after the Norwegian striker agreed to join the Spanish giant.
It seems that Real Madrid will give up Kylian Mbappe and will try to buy Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, after the Norwegian striker has given his consent to move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
It remains for Madrid to find an agreement with the Bundesliga giant for the player price. The question will be whether Dortmund will want to make more money this summer or risk losing Haaland for just 75 million euros in the summer of 2022.
Haaland has a clause in his contract with Dortmund that allows him to leave the club for anyone pays 75 million euros.
According to the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Dortmund has already rejected Real Madrid’s offer of 110 million euros for Haaland. Haaland’s current market value is 150m euros, double what the Germans could gain from selling it in 2022.
It is believed that an agreement can be reached between the parties worth about 130 million euros for the 20-year-old.
Haaland has agreed to join Madrid, as has his manager Mino Raiola. Months ago, Raiola and Haaland’s father traveled to Spain to visit the training centers of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Haaland, who has a contract with Dortmund until 2024, scored 41 goals in 41 appearances last season. He has also donated 12 assists during this time.
