Hainer talks about the situation of Lewandowski, Goretzka and Kimmich

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has addressed a number of issues at their club, especially the situation of some of the team stars who are linked with a move away this summer.

Robert Lewandowski has been heavily linked with a summer move to Chelsea in recent weeks, with coach Thomas Tuchel reportedly keen to bring in a new center-forward ahead of the 2021-22 season.

The Blues have sought to be kept informed of the 32-year-old’s current situation at the Allianz Arena, but Hainer is not afraid to lose a precious asset before his contract expires in 2023.

“Robert Lewandowski will play for Bayern until June 2023. He has a contract and is staying here. “We are not looking for a new striker,” Hainer told Spox.

The Bayern president has also responded to links to rumors of Leon Goretzka and his transfer to Manchester United, while also having a few words for the team’s star, Joshua Kimmich.

“We are in good and constructive talks with Goretzka to extend the contract, the same for Kimmich.”

“There may be further talks now. We hope we can find a solution,” concluded the Bayern president.
