Valentí Guardiola, Pep Guardiola’s father, has given an interview recently where he talked about many topics.

He was also asked about the possibility of Guardiola one day leading Spain.

Valenti is against his son being appointed coach of Spain, until he has not hidden the desire for him to return to Barcelona.

“I’m not one to say what Pep should do because he is close to turning 50. He knows what is good and what is not good for him. I can tell you that I do not want him to lead the representative of Spain. He did not rule out the possibility of returning to Barcelona as a coach, or as someone who gives advice, but he doubted that he would lead Spain,” he said.
