Arriving at the Roma team this summer, the striker from Uzbekistan, Eldor Shomurodov, has fascinated from the very beginning with his appearance. This is the second season for the 26-year-old in Serie A, where he debuted years with Genoa (31 games and 8 goals).
For him this season is special, as he plays with Roma, led by coach Jose Mourinho.
“I met Jose two years ago in Moscow. When I was informed that Rome was looking for me, I accepted immediately,” said the Uzbek striker.
“First, Roma is a great team, with concrete objectives. Secondly, here is coach Jose Mourinho, one of the best in the world, whom I appreciate very much. I worked hard for this day to be led by him,” said Shomurodov.
The striker debuted in the league with the Roma jersey on Sunday, in the 3-1 victory against Fiorentina.
“I want to show how much I’m worth. I think I gave my best on the field, but I know I have the opportunity to improve. With Mourinho I hope to reap other successes in my career,” said Shomurodov.
