Icardi is seen as Ronaldo’s successor if he leaves Juventus

Juventus are considering Paris Saint-Germain striker Mauro Icardi as Cristiano Ronaldo’s successor if the Portuguese leaves this summer.

The Italian club has not had a good season at all as it was relegated early from the Champions League, while securing qualification only in the last round of Serie A.

This has made the club’s management think about many changes this summer and have already removed coach Andrea Pirlo and replaced him with Massimiliano Allegri.

With the arrival of Allegri, Ronaldo’s future is expected to be far from Juventus, as the pair have not had such good relations and the Portuguese is not seen as crucial in the Italian coach’s schemes.

Thus, Ronaldo’s departure is already being considered by Juventus and the Bianconeri executives are looking at replacement alternatives for him.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Icardi is an opportunity for Juventus if Ronaldo leaves.

However, the Italian media adds that at the moment PSG and the Old Lady have not yet entered into official talks.
