Initially, Nicolo Barella scored in the 22nd minute after assisting Ivan Perisic.

Croatian Perisic assisted in the second goal to Edin Dzeko where he scored in the 30th minute of the match.

The duel then produced no goals and Inter rejoiced in their 19th season victory.

This triumph brings Inter even closer to the first place, as it now has 66 points, one less than the leader, Milan.

Verona, on the other hand, is in ninth place with 45 points and no target to reach.
