Will he manage to be in the starting lineup for three games in a row.
After playing just two minutes in Real Madrid’s first game against Alaves, Isco started for the club in the game against Levante and Real Betis and could start against Celta Vigo on Sunday.
The 29-year-old has never been able to start in three consecutive games for Real Madrid since January 2020, as he was out of shape under Zinedine Zidane’s orders during the 2020/21 season, starting in just eight of 38 league appearances.
Isco looks set to be in Carlo Anvelotti’s line-up this weekend, as he has trained hard during the Nationals’ matches at the club’s training center.
On the other hand, Toni Kroos remains out due to injury and Luka Modric also has an injury problem.
Isco is, in fact, enjoying his biggest success in the Spanish league since the 2017/18 season, playing 139 minutes in his first three games.
This season, four years ago, was the best for Isco, with the Spaniard starting 21 games.
One thing is for sure, Isco’s life at Real Madrid has changed for the better after coming to Ancelotti’s squad.
His match against Levante reminded us of what Isco is able to do, with a return to the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday, he will have the opportunity to show even more money to local fans in the Los Blancos shirt.
During the summer term it was reported that he is open to leaving for another club, as he did not succeed under Zidane, but Ancelotti’s presence seems to be fruitful for him.
