Italian legend: Messi amazes me a lot, he makes the difference on the field more than Ronaldo

The legendary defender of Italy and Milan, Roberto Donadoni, has shown that he prefers Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo and believes that the Argentine has better technical skills and makes the difference on the field more often than the Portuguese.

Donadoni, who is regarded as one of the greatest Italian players, believes it is difficult to compare players who have played in different eras.

He did not want to make a comparison between Messi and Diego Armando Maradona, but hinted that Messi likes him more than anyone.

“I do not like to make comparisons between Maradona and Messi, or between Diego and Pele. Their eras differ. I like Maradona and I like Messi. I like Messi very much,” Donadoni told Ole.

Messi and Ronaldo play in the same era and Donaodni believes that comparing the two is reasonable.

“In terms of characteristics, I like Messi more than Ronaldo, because he is another player technically,” he said.

“When I watch matches, Messi amazes me more. Ronaldo scores a lot of goals, of course, but I believe that Messi makes more of a difference on the pitch.”
