Juventus makes the first offer for Locatelli

Juventus had their first meeting with Sassuolo while remaining the absolute favorite to sign Mario Locatelli, before Arsenal.

According to some reports in Italy, the second long meeting between Sassuolo and the directors of Juve is expected to be held this evening. It is still far from reaching an agreement, as the first proposal is 30 million euros plus an academy player, while Arsenal’s offer was 40 million euros in cash.

There are still big steps to be taken as this is the first offer that Juventus has made for the Sassuolo star. Despite this, the Italian wants to play for Juventus, a wish he had said several times before this transfer window.

The Whites strongly believe that Locatelli wants to join them, they are happy for his progress and the experience he had at Euro 2020. Now it remains to find a solution that would make Sassuolo happy as well.

Corriere dello Sport points out that some new players could move to Sassuolo like; Nicolò Fagioli, Nicolò Rovella and Gianluca Frabotta but Rade Dragusin and Felix Correia are also mentioned. The 23-year-old is a product of the Milan youth academy, where he left them for 14 million euros after being initially loaned in 2018.
