Juventus says goodbye to Ronaldo, announces his transfer to Manchester United

Juventus said goodbye to Cristiano Ronaldo on Tuesday, confirming his transfer to Manchester United for 23 million euros.

Ronaldo spent three years in Turin, winning two Serie A titles, but this summer chose to return to Old Trafford due to the whites’ failure to fight for major trophies.

Ronaldo was thought to be joining Manchester City, but the Red Devils intervened at the last minute and transferred him.

The agreement for Ronaldo’s return to United was confirmed on Friday.

While Juventus announced his departure today: “On July 10, 2018, two icons of European and world football came together – Cristiano Ronaldo became a Juventus player. “Today, after three years together and 133 appearances, 101 goals and five trophies won, this chapter is closed.”

“The paths of CR7 and Juventus have gone their separate ways.”, it is said in the announcement of Juventus.
