Juventus have announced that Manuel Locatelli will be out of action for about four weeks after a knee injury.
The Italian was forced to leave the field during yesterday’s Derby d’Italia match against Inter. Massimiliano Allegri claimed that the former Sassuolo player had suffered a collateral sprain in the knee that would keep him off the field for 20 days.
Locatelli underwent medical examinations at J Medical in the morning and the Old Lady has now released a new medical update for the midfielder.
The Bianconeri have confirmed the nature of the injury, but have clarified that Locatelli will be out of action for about four weeks.
This means that the Italian star could return to action for the last three games of the season and the Italian Cup final if Juventus qualify.
Locatelli joined Juventus from Sassuolo last summer, concluding an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy. The 24-year-old has scored three goals in 40 appearances in all competitions this season.
