The well-known duo are very close friends.
The return of Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United a few days before the end of the summer transfer window was one of the main news.
The 36-year-old has also been linked with a move to United rivals Manchester City, but he eventually moved to the Manchester Utd after a dramatic turnaround City made by leaving the race for his signature.
Ronaldo has said goodbye to Juventus to return to Old Trafford, but has not given an explanation why he left the Italian team, where he had spent the last three years.
However, UFC fighter and Ronaldo’s close friend Khabib Nurmagomedov has said the Portuguese striker left Juventus because he was bored there.
“I would not like to reveal our private conversation anymore. Well, he told me that he was bored in Italy and that he wanted to move to England,” Khabib told Sport24.
When asked to make a comparison between Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Khabib said they are both great players, but his friend is more charismatic.
“Cristiano has been at the top of football for 17 years,” said the Russian.
“In 2004 he was in a final of a European Championship and now it is 2021 and he still scores goals.”
“There has never been such a phenomenon in football… I think Messi is at the peak of his career since 12 years and Cristiano 17 years.”
