Koeman on Real’s complaints: The referees also have doubts

Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has been asked about the controversy caused by Sevilla’s penalty in the 1: 1 draw with Real Madrid in La Liga.

Speaking before Barcelona’s match with Levante, Koeman said it was natural for the referees to have doubts.

Among the main topics of discussion at his conference was the controversial 2: 2 draw between Real Madrid and Sevilla, in which Eder Militao was penalized for touching the ball with his hand in the area.

Real Madrid complained like never before after the match, but Koeman says this is not his problem.

“If Real Madrid are complaining, it is his problem,” Koeman said on Monday.

“Even judges have doubts. And we coaches and players do not know when it is handball. But this does not only happen in Spain, it also happens in other leagues,” he added.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are two points behind leader Atletico Madrid, three games until the end of the season.
