Liverpool agree to pay the clause for Konate

Liverpool have decided to transfer the talented French defender Ibrahima Konate.

The English giant has long been looking for the player until it was reported that he has a personal agreement with him.

But the deal with club RB Leipzig was missing, as the Germans refused to give up their star without paying his clause.

English and German media report today that Liverpool has agreed to pay the player clause.

The Reds will pay 40 million euros for the player who is expected to be made official as a new Liverpool player in the coming days.

With the purchase of Konata, The Reds confirm that they will not buy the Turk Ozan Kabak who was borrowed from Schalke 04.

The 22-year-old Konate has played 21 matches with Leipzig this season, where he has scored another goal.
