Manchester United are considering the dismissal of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from the position of coach after a bad start to the season. One of the names on the management list of the “Red Devils” is that of Antonio Conte.
Even the first signs of interest from the English club for the Italian coach have already arrived, reports Sky Italia.
Conte has been unemployed since leaving Inter at the end of last season and had talked to Tottenham to replace Jose Mourinho in the summer.
The 52-year-old had not considered United as an opportunity for his next job, but the miserable form of the club in recent weeks and especially the embarrassing 5-0 defeat against Liverpool, has brought Solskjaer to the brink of dismissal.
According to British media, Conte is ready to lead United now, but he wants to be assured by the club’s management that he will have the players he wants in the team.
Conte has a proven track record in local leagues, having won the Premier League with Chelsea in 2017, as well as several Serie A titles with Juventus and one with Inter in 2020.
