Raphael Varane suffered an injury during France’s triumph over Spain in the League of Nations final on Sunday. Adding to his club Manchester United’s problems.
The 28-year-old center-back left the field holding his foot with his hand and was replaced by Dayot Upamecano in the 43rd minute.
Varane has been a starter in six games for United this season and his injury will cause headaches for coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is also without the other main center-back, Harry Maguire.
The English defender has problems with the ankle pulp.
United will face Leicester City on the trip to the Premier League this Saturday.
