Manchester United are said to have already made the first official offer to Borussia Dortmund for winger Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils have finally made their move to sign with Sancho, as one of the longest football transfer sagas looks set to flare up once again.
United have been tracking the English star since last summer, although he could not agree with Dortmund’s high demands.
Now, the German newspaper Bild reports that United have made the first official offer by offering 60 million pounds or 70 million euros for Sancho’s services.
It has been reported that this figure will not be enough to satisfy the Bundesliga giants, who believe they can make even more money by selling the English talent.
Bild notes that Dortmund executives are aware they are in an ideal negotiating position, given that they know United can no longer cope with any transfer embarrassment after weeks of uncertainty in failing to reach an agreement last summer.
Likewise, they expect Sancho to become one of the leading names in the European Championship, increasing interest in his services and his price as a result.
